10 freebie ideas for your wellness website (that is not an ebook)
We are all familiar with the classic ebook freebie. The person goes to your website, they see a pop-up where they sign-up to your newsletter, and in return they receive a copy of your ebook.
This strategy is great, but let’s be honest… how many ebooks have you received from opt-ins you signed up for and you didn’t even make to the third page?
It is true that we are all very busy and we want to consume information in quick and efficient ways. So instead of giving away an ebook on your website, here are 10 other freebie ideas for your website’s opt-in:
1. Quiz
Quizzes are a great opt-in because they are super fun and quick to fill out. Focus on making it catchy. Example: “Which of these foods have the highest sugar content? Take the quiz and find out how well you know your sugar”. At the end, the subscriber must enter his/her email address in order to receive the quiz result.
2. Printable checklist
This can be an easy one-page PDF you design using Canva. Think of a checklist that would enrich your subscriber’s daily life. Is it a gluten-free grocery shopping checklist? Or the top 5 sustainable zero-waste products they need for their house?
3. Video recording
Videos are super fun to share with your audience because, unlike an ebook, the viewer can get to know you better and get a glimpse of your personality. A recorded video could be a yoga class, a cooking tutorial, an essential oils how-to for beginners, or you just talk to the camera and teach them something you are an expert on. Have fun with it!
4. Audio recording
Similar to the video recording, an audio recording gives you endless freebie possibilities. For example: an interview recording with a holistic doctor, a guided meditation, a ritual mantra song you wrote, numerous affirmations for the listener to repeat after you.
5. Coaching call
Giving out free coaching calls is a popular freebie among coaches. My only recommendation is to keep it short - about 20 minutes. And have your caller first fill out a small wellness questionnaire so you know what to focus on during the call. Wrap up the call by sharing your coaching packages.
6. Private Facebook group
Do you have a privateFacebook group where you post content for your followers and answer their questions? Then making the access to that group your opt-in is a great idea! On your website, highlight the benefits of joining your group and share testimonials of those who are already a part of it.
7. Private live webinar
This could be a class you do live for your subscribers. Since it is live, it might not be a freebie option you have running all the time, but only when you have the website scheduled for. Unlike the video recording, the live webinar allows you to connect with your viewers and answer their questions in real time.
8. Email course
An email course if when the subscribers joins your list to receive a series of emails that teaches them about something you are specialized in. This could be anywhere from 3 to 5 emails (or more) spread out within days. Make sure to have these emails scheduled and automated, so you are not sending them out yourself.
9. Chapters from your book
This is a great option if you sell digital ebooks on your website. You can give our a few pages or chapters of your book as your freebie. Not only you are bringing people to your mailing list, but you are also potentially turning these new subscribers into ebook buyers.
10. Discount code
You can provide a discount code for your digital store, your coaching services, an event you are a part of… the options are endless. Who doesn’t like a discount?
Which of the options above are you gravitating the most towards?
