Website redesign for The Rooted Refuge
I have a fun and unique story to share about how this brand identity and website design project came about with The Rooted Refuge. I found this space back at the beginning of the year when I was searching for a natural and holistic solution to my headaches. There I met Stephanie and Christopher, the founders and practitioners at this gorgeous acupuncture and Chinese medicine space in Queens, NY.
My first session was with Stephanie, and it was my first time doing acupuncture. While I was a bit scared of the whole idea of being pocked by a bunch of needles and wondering if it would actually do anything, I was instantly put at ease when I met Stephanie. Her energy is so calming and bright, I knew I was in good hands.
I instantly saw results and kept going back to The Rooted Refuge. After my third session, I emailed Stephanie and mentioned to her that I am a brand and website designer who works with wellness entrepreneurs like them. While they already had a live website at the time, I noticed it could be improved and I didn't believe it properly showed the welcoming and captivating energy and personality both them and the space itself has.
Just like a dream, Stephanie introduced me to Christopher and they hired me to redesign their website! I was sooooo excited! Long story short, I have been a client of theirs since January, seeing Christopher for acupuncture and Chinese medicine appointments weekly. I am feeling so great ☺️.
My number one goal for this design was to encompass their unique personalities in the format of a website. Their space has green and purple walls, with calm music playing and plants everywhere. And that is exactly what I brought into the website design: I made it all purple, with lots of plants elements, and a modern and intuitive layout.

I would love to hear your thoughts below about the design. Would you book an appointment at an acupuncture website that looked like this? ☺️
