10 Questions to Help Jumpstart Your Brand & Website Design
Every time I start a new brand and website design project with my wellness clients, I have them complete two questionnaires. The first gives me an idea of how they want their brand identity to look and feel, and the second goes over specifics for their websites, such as desired functionality, page structure, and design elements. These questionnaires guide my design process and offer me a solid foundation from which something special can be made.
Today I share a sample of ten questions from my questionnaire with you.
Brand Identity Design:
What is your brand’s mission statement?
Who is your ideal client/customer? What do they care about? Be as detailed as possible.
Which keywords do you want people to associate with your company?
How do you hope people will feel once they experience the brand?
What do you hope these people will tell their friends once they experience your brand?
Website Design:
The overall goal of your website: If users can only do one thing, what do you want to happen?
What are other, smaller goals/things you want your user to do that will contribute to your larger goal? (EX: buy a product or service, sign-up for your newsletter, schedule a free coaching call, download your free ebook, read your latest blog, …)
What pages do you want for your website? Will you have a blog, a store, a calendar for booking?
What are 3 websites you really love? Take note of features you like (and don't like) about them. (Take note of typefaces you like, colors, organization of sections, copy style)
Will you have a lead magnet? If so, what will it be and which email service provider will you use?
I hope these questions offered a small glimpse into my process.
